Orange

Today’s weekly photo challenge theme proved to be a bit of a challenge for me. Orange is not my usual kind of color that I want to see everyday. I always liked nature’s green and blue.

As I look into my blog’s media library I found few photos that are orange worthy. My cousin A’s backpack cover is one that I favored the most. When we went for that trek it was really sunny and bright. I really did not expect she’ll suit up her backpack with it. I would not wonder if it is pouring down because that’s the suppose function of the cover but still I am glad she did because it screamed orange.

Those piles of papers, notebooks, books and an eco-bag still full of books are of my little brother’s. He is taking up an electrical engineering course at the same university I went to college. I am happy that he is graduating this March. A testament that our mother’s desire and wish to see us all finish college comes true. He still needs to prove himself though in taking the reviews and finally the license exam later of this year.

Carrots are one of the ingredients that is mixed in making pickled papaya. Unripe papayas are grated or sometimes shredded. It is best paired with fried fish, grilled meat or anything that’s too greasy or saucy. It cuts the richness of the food and refreshes your taste buds with its sweet, sour, spicy and bitter mixture.
